While many weddings in Korea follow a traditional script, Soeun and Sungjoon chose a slightly different path. They didn’t want to reject tradition, but instead, to soften it—letting go of the elements that didn’t feel meaningful or true to them. That meant leaving behind large group photos and the constant coordination of guests. Instead, they envisioned a wedding that felt like a shared experience for everyone present—warm, intimate, and quietly alive. That intention was infused every moment of their celebration at Aube Studio in Seoul.

Instead of an overly formal day, they embraced a minimal, clean aesthetic. Calm, intentional, and deeply personal, it let even the smallest details quietly shine. Keep reading to discover the timeless touches that made their wedding day so memorable and how the thoughtful guidance of their wedding director, Anne Jang, brought their Aube Studio wedding to life.

What Made Soeun and Sungjoon‘s Aube Studio Seoul Wedding So Special

Soeun and Sungjoon are naturally easygoing, reserved people. While they don’t often seek the spotlight, they still wanted their wedding to make a statement—one that felt entirely authentic to them.

They chose to showcase their pre-wedding photos throughout their wedding venue, creating a gallery-style experience for their guests to enjoy at Aube Studio. The space felt elegant and timeless, with a clean, minimal palette of whites and greens, thoughtfully accented by pops of red, their pre-wedding images, and the beautiful tapestries woven throughout.

All three floors of the studio space felt effortlessly luxurious—making a quiet statement that reflected the couple and their vision for the day. Every detail felt intentional, echoing their essence and the celebration they envisioned.

Bringing the Vision to Life with Anne Jang

To bring this Aube Studio wedding in Seoul to life, they partnered with wedding director and one of my dear friends, Anne Jang. Soeun had admired Anne’s work for years, so getting to collaborate with her felt almost like a full-circle moment. Anne not only translated their vision into reality but brought a calm presence, meticulous attention to detail, and an artistic eye that made the whole process a joy.

When the celebration arrived, Anne and her team worked with thorough dedication. They arrived at 6 PM the day before to prepare the space and did not leave until 4 AM, when every detail was perfectly in place. I especially loved the thoughtful touches she added—like the words woven into the tapestry—which brought an extra layer of meaning to the day, making it feel deeply personal and beautifully memorable.

Why Aube Studio is a Perfect Canvas for Your Wedding in Seoul

Soeun and Sungjoon wanted to move beyond the traditions of a typical Korean wedding hall, and Aube Studio in Seoul was the perfect fit for their vision. The studio carries a modern, industrial vibe and serves as a true blank canvas, ready to be transformed into whatever a couple imagines for their day. Its elegance and versatility have even caught the attention of Vogue Korea. With space for up to 400 guests across three customizable floors, Soeun and Sungjoon were able to shape the studio into a celebration that felt entirely their own.

How Soeun and Sungjoon Designed Aube Studio for their Wedding

Soeun thoughtfully used all three floors of Aube Studio, designing each one with care. The bottom two floors served as reception spaces. The first level welcomed friends, featuring a soft white-and-green palette, and the pre-wedding photos were displayed throughout for a gallery-style experience. The second level was reserved for family, accented with red flooring, red flowers, and flickering candles, adding an elegant, intimate touch.

The third floor was the ceremony space, returning to the clean, light-forward aesthetic with flowing drapery and white sofas. The entire studio felt timeless and intentional, a reflection of Soeun and Sungjoon’s vision for their day.

Kind Words From the Couple

Soeun and Sungjoon shared some heartfelt thoughts about working together to document their Aube Studio wedding in Seoul. You can read their reflections below.

“I was looking for a wedding photographer who could capture genuine, natural moments without directing stiff or overly posed shots like traditional Korean wedding photos. Lorryn exceeded all my expectations. She has an incredible eye for aesthetics and storytelling, and every photo felt effortless yet beautifully composed. When we received the final images, we were truly amazed by their quality and emotion.

I highly recommend Lorryn as a main wedding photographer for anyone who values authenticity, refined taste, and timeless results. 🤍”

I’m so glad that Soeun and Sungjoon chose to bend tradition and celebrate their wedding at Aube Studio in Seoul in a way that truly reflected their vision.
