Eloping in Seoul felt like a whirlwind, and Lorryn was the reason it turned into something magical. From the moment we reached out, she didn’t just photograph our day—she helped us create it. She found a beautiful hanok, arranged a tea ceremony, coordinated hair and makeup, booked a last-minute nail appointment, brought us lunch, and even accompanied us to the district office to help translate during the legal process. Her calm energy, cultural know-how, and genuine care turned a chaotic day into a deeply meaningful celebration. Based in the U.S., Andrea and Dan had known each other as colleagues for years. They were friendly and familiar, but nothing more.
Then, during a work trip in Russia, everything shifted. In a quiet moment on a train, Dan suddenly reached out and gently touched Andrea’s ankle—and just like that, something clicked.
From that unexpected moment, their love story began… and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

For Andrea and Dan, place has always held deep meaning. As architects and adventurers at heart, they find joy in exploring the world together.
While they always imagined celebrating their marriage with loved ones, life logistics made that tricky. Slowly, the idea of eloping first—and saving a larger celebration for later—began to take root. Over the years, they explored the idea of marrying abroad or at a courthouse in one of their favourite U.S. cities, but the timing never quite aligned.
Then, serendipity stepped in. During a work trip with a short stopover in Seoul, Andrea—on a whim—searched for information about getting married as foreigners in South Korea. That’s when she stumbled upon one of my blog posts (how crazy is that?!) and, suddenly, it all felt possible…even on short notice.
Between meetings and trip prep, Andrea and Dan muscled through the paperwork and began to realise that eloping in Seoul was more than just a logistical option. It was the beginning of a deeply personal, unforgettable chapter—one that reflected their spontaneity, their shared love of place, and their desire to begin married life in a way that felt wholly their own.
WHY THEY DECIDED TO ELOPE IN KOREA
As part of their time in Seoul, Andrea and Dan had booked a beautifully designed hanok through Stay Folio—and wanted a way to make their spontaneous elopement feel more like an occasion.
The idea of capturing it all with photos came up, and they decided to reach out to me on the off chance I might be available on such short notice. By sheer luck, I was available (and didn’t need any convincing), so we locked it in!
What began as a simple hope for a few meaningful photos soon evolved into something much more. As Andrea shared, “We wish we had spoken with Lorryn earlier! She was so incredibly helpful, we had no idea she would help us plan things and get the various parts set up.”
From helping plan the flow of the day, to connecting them with a hair and makeup artist, to booking a 10 PM nail appointment for Andrea the night before the elopement, and even suggesting ideas like a tea ceremony, I pulled out all the stops to help bring their vision to life.

A name that perfectly sums up not only their whirlwind elopement but their relationship as a whole.

I offer coverage options from 4 hours up to 2 full days. Most elopements fall between 6–8 hours, depending on how many outfits, locations, or experiences (like morning prep or sunset portraits) you want to include.

How many hours do we need?
Yes, absolutely! Since moving to South Korea 14 years ago, I’ve worked my ass off to become fluent in Korean.
