Celine contacted me back in 2019 while she was planning her destination wedding at the Seoul Grand Hyatt Hotel. We had no idea of the chaos that was about to take over the world. The original wedding date was set for August 2020 but because of COVID-19 restrictions, they were forced to postpone their wedding for a year. Though there were still strict regulations in place by August 2021, Celine and Antoine were able to fly in from Europe for the wedding and to finally celebrate with their friends and family living in Korea.
Celine is a talented content creator and so I felt a great sense of responsibility to produce photos of a high standard that she could proudly share with her followers. She chose to have the ceremony at the Grand Hyatt in Seoul in their modern yet traditional Namsan Wedding Room. The decor was sleek, the flowers simple yet beautiful and the couple was as classy as they seemed on their social media.
I stole Celine for a few minutes to make some portraits of her before the guests started to arrive. She was radiant and her sleek hair complimented her gorgeous wedding gown that she had brought with her.
And then it was time for the wedding to start.
As the sun set over Seoul, Antoine and Celine’s guests dined on an exquisite meal but unfortunately had to leave soon after due to COVID curfew regulations.
Antoine and Celine had originally planned to host an after-party in their room for some of their friends, but COVID regulations were again forcing them to change their plans. She instead came up with the concept of “an after-party for two”.
We set up their wedding cake along with champagne and they quietly celebrated their union by looking over the Seoul skyline.
