“Love is the emblem of eternity; it confounds all notion of time; effaces all memory of a beginning, all fear of an end.” –Madame De Stael

On a freezing day in January Mike and Jenni came down from Busan to spend the afternoon with me and have their engagement photos taken. The week before, Gwangju had, had the most snow it had seen in quite some time and made the city look like a winter wonderland. Really pretty to look at, but being out in it takes a little bravery 😉

The Busan e-FM host and his lovely wife-to-be were up for the challenge and joined me at the local park near my home. Jenni wanted to incorporate some Korean architecture and nature into their photos and we had planned on a location on the outskirts of Gwangju but being snowed in, we moved it to my favorite park.

After getting acquainted over some coffees we took on the cold winds and slippery pathways. I had some lovely winter light to work with as well as two excellent models. It really couldn’t have been an easier task! Here are some of the pictures we made to celebrate their engagement:

As soon as the sun dipped behind the buildings it was time for Mike to feed his fiance a hot meal, and time for me to warm my icy hands! Be on the lookout for their wedding pictures to be posted soon!
