Scott and Cyrene embarked on an incredible journey together when they both moved to Korea back in 2018 and in the same English teaching program. Their paths intertwined right from the start, meeting at the airport before finding themselves living just a couple of hours apart – it was almost like fate! As their relationship blossomed, so too did their shared interests and activities; whether that be staying home for some quality time or venturing out into the world exploring what life had to offer them side by side. After two years full of thrilling memories came along one even more special moment- engagement then finally got married back in the US this year on February 7, 2023.
WHY KOREA AS A PRE-WEDDING DESTINATION?
Since we currently live in Korea and Korea is where we first met, we thought it was the perfect location to make it our pre-wedding destination. We don’t really have any professional photos together so this was nice to do and hopefully look back on in a couple of years of our time in Korea.
THE VIBE
We wanted something with nature. Scott is a huge fan of bamboo. I think its the “weeb” in him haha. There is a game we used to play called animal crossing and you can decorate your island. He would always decorate his island with bamboo so we thought let’s go do it at a bamboo forest. The second location we chose was Damyang’s Metasequoia-line road. We had to have autumn vibes since we did it in November. We were really blessed when we got there because the trees were so orange and still full even though it was almost heading into winter.
A WORD OF ADVICEā¦
Keep in mind the date and time you are going to your location. Since it was impossible for us to get time off during the weekday we had to settle for a Saturday. There was so much people at the locations we went to. We had to wait several times for people to pass or to finish taking their pictures until we could take ours. So our advice is to try to book the shoot on a weekday rather than a weekend if you can. It will really help you because you just have more space to work with.
