Casey and Ying are both two avid travellers and decided on Korea as their pre-wedding destination. They took advantage of the Korea-Singapore travel bubble and decided on early spring for their 3-day photoshoot. We all clicked like old friends from the very first zoom meeting and started planning a great trip to Jeju.
Ying is a designer back in Singapore and brought over the most gorgeous dresses and of course, Casey’s styling was also on point under the watchful eye of his fiancé. Her favourite colour is yellow so naturally, we took advantage of the canola fields in Jeju and their only other requirement was to be in the great outdoors with no skyscrapers in sight. Unfortunately (in true early spring days) the weather was taking us on a rollercoaster. At one point the windchill was -12 degrees!! But, Ying was an absolute champion and you’ll never know HOW cold she was feeling when you look at the pictures 🙂
During their consultation, they shared that the most important thing for them was to have artful and emotional images that captured the spirit of their love for one another without feeling like they were doing a photoshoot. Documentary work is one of my favourite things to do so I was incredibly excited to craft their story. Enjoy.
What a whirlwind (literally) of a trip we had! But I wouldn’t have it any other way! The memories we created together were amazing and I’m lucky to call Ying and Casey my friends now. Part two of their pre-wedding in Gwangju is coming next week!
