An elegant and romantic wedding in Celine’s hometown of Seoul, South Korea. She wanted to blend traditional Korean touches with the modern décor of The Grand Hyatt Hotel. After dinner service we went up to their room to create an intimate after party for two.
Their story began in May of 2016 when Madeleine was out and about in Yeosu with her dog, Henry. Hyeonsoo, who was on vacation, spotted the two, went over to say “hello” and ended up spending the rest of the day taking in the sites of Yeosu with Madeleine and Henry. The rest, as they say, is history.
A couple of weeks ago I was invited to document a beautiful wedding in Seoul, Korea’s capital. The awful summer heat had just passed by a week ago and I was excited to get out and enjoy a lovely outdoor ceremony. Another reason I was excited about this particular wedding was because not only is the groom a fellow South African, but he is a great photographer here in Korea too.
It was a beautiful and happy day for this couple and their families. Tae-hyung was constantly telling me how beautiful Sun-a looks and how lucky he feels. I was very happy to be part this family-affair and especially around a couple with so much adoration for each other. This makes my job so much more meaningful!
On a warm and beautiful Spring day in Damyang, Mike and Sun-young invited their closest family and friends to celebrate their wedding, a day full of love, promises and cocktails. We started the day off getting ready in Gwangju and we jetted of to a very beautiful (albeit busy) Metasequoia Road in Damyang to get a few portraits before the ceremony.
