“You are sunlight through a window, which I stand in, warmed. My darling.”

I’m always excited to photograph a wedding, every occasion brings a lot of happiness, expectations and emotions into my life. Although I do love all of them, I have to admit that I have some favorites.

This year I photographed the wedding of someone who had had a profound impact on my life. There wasn’t a way I could repay him for how much he helped me and no words could convey my gratitude.  Since I’m not good with words, photography was a language I knew could channel and express my vast thankfulness.

Yoonmi moved from Seoul to Gwangju to work in the family business and even though she had grown up here, she lacked many friends to hangout with. It was while going out to meet new people that she bumped into Kyungyeol, a renowned doctor in the city. As she got to know him more she recalls feeling a special bond and connection, this beautiful relativity brought them together all the way to the altar.

Although they differ a bit in their personalities, they complete one other in a delicate, harmonious way, complementing  each other in many ways.

I can describe their wedding day as perfectly-coordinated aesthetic with decor that was refined and classic, filled with monumental love from friends and family.  I was overjoyed to be apart of it.

Here I share the story, from the eyes of my soul.
