Yong-gi, a doctor from the blissfully laid-back island of Jeju and Hyeon-ji, an elementary school teacher from the busy city of Busan got married on a beautiful autumn day on Jeju Island. Friends and family from around the country flew in to partake in this elegant celebration. The entire day was filled with love and laughter from the morning when I met the couple while they were getting ready to the final Gombae [cheers in Korean] between the family members, just adding to my already amazing memories with this beautiful couple.
J.J. and Erica are a young couple living in Gwangju who just added a beautiful new member to their family: little Emilyn Briony. What a gorgeous name right?!?!
Yong-gi and Hyeon-ji’s love for each other is really the kind of love that writers base their novels on. He is the strong, protective man who melts when he looks into her eyes. She is the beautiful, peaceful girl who swoons over everything he does. Movie love, I tell you!
When I met Hendrik and Dorette this quote immediately came to mind. They were warm and welcoming from the first “hello” and their love for life and each other was lovely. The couple are two South African expats who have been living in South Korea for a couple of years but are sadly saying goodbye and so they wanted to celebrate their upcoming anniversary “korean style”.
When Seoyoon contacted me for her pre-wedding photos she knew exactly what she wanted: greenery, romance and beautiful lighting. I’m always thrilled when brides know what they want because then I can design a specific plan to deliver beautiful images just as they imagined. Only this time I was very concerned. It was in the peak of summer with very unpredictable showers and so I recommended that we change her plan a little bit to suit an indoor session. She said “Don’t worry. It will be perfect weather. I know it.” And so our plans for outdoor photos went forth.
On a warm and beautiful Spring day in Damyang, Mike and Sun-young invited their closest family and friends to celebrate their wedding, a day full of love, promises and cocktails. We started the day off getting ready in Gwangju and we jetted of to a very beautiful (albeit busy) Metasequoia Road in Damyang to get a few portraits before the ceremony.
